Jumping on the FOR SALE bandwagon
On the block today, ladies and gentlemen, is a Brownsville acoustic/electric bass, bought from Sam Ash while completley intoxicated one night after getting drunk at the beach. This bad boy will run you $279 at Sam Ash, which is where I purchased it (although to be honest, at the time I had no idea how much it cost. I barley remember buying the thing). I've played this thing about 10 times total in the time I have owned it. It has a gigantic body, larger than the Epiphone El Capitan, just for reference. It sounds pretty good unplugged, it's just not loud. Plugged in though it sounds really good. But because it is an acoustic, you can get some feedback problems if you aren't set up right, or if you're in a small room. http://www.samash.com/catalog/showitem.asp?ItemID=28155 There is the link to the bass at Sam Ash, so you can check up on it. The only thing I did to it was put a piece of paper under the string a tthe nut because it was a bit buzzy. It probably wouldn't hurt to spend a few bucks on a new nut. It has a TKL hardshell case, which is very nice, and which ran me $100. If you want it, I'll sell it all for $275, plus shipping and insurance, whatever that'll be. If the shipping and insurance turns out to be quite high, I'll help out on it a bit. Gracias! joe |

Although, it looks beeeeautiful! This is a really nice bass. Id go for it if i were you. Oh yeah, I was thinking, this shouldnt cost too much to ship to the UK. Only have the weight of the neck and the hardcase really |

I know what you mean, Jamie. She's been the black sheep of the heard for some time now. It's not that it's a terrible bass, it's just not for me. Like my fretless... but the thing with the fretless was that I could upgrade the hell out of it. I should have some pics of it up within a week or two. She's gettin her paint job tomorrow hopefully, and I've got all of the components. I've just got to do all the wiring and that's about it.
If you live in the UK or AUS, and wouldn't mind walking me through the process (if there is one) of shipping into another country, and wouldn't mind paying the customs and all that crap, then I'll give her a shot. joe |

Daammn. If i wasn't struggling to get cash for the new amp, i'd buy that.
If it isn't gone in a while, let me know and i'l take it before i get a new cab. |

heh. Yeah, I put that there to raise the action a bit so I didn't have to raise it so high on the nut. This bass needs a good home, where she'll be played, rather than just sit in the corner like she does over here. joe |

If you don't mind picking up the charges, I'll give it a shot. And yeah, I usually make the pics smaller, but whatever photo editer I was using expired, and now they want me to pay for it. And that is not happening. joe |
