morley power wah boost
dunlop 105Q bass wah
morley dual wah <--- in that order

songs...
cochese
call of ktulu (live versions at least)
jasons bass solo
for whom the bell tolls
pistol grip pump (pretty sure on that one)

as you can see most are obvious tallica songs but they stick out to me

Oh really? I guess I've never picked it up. I guess the effect didn't jump out at me. I think that tells us all something about the necessity of bass wahs...

My friend asked me if you can use a guitar ped for a bass. i said it would be better if you got a bass but i don't know. he wants a VOX guitar but for bass...would it be bad or different at all?

Hey now, the next (and first) pedal I am getting will be a wah. For funky slap, it is almost a neccessity(sp?) in at least a couple songs. Go to musicians friend and use a wah pedal, or a good ampeg with effects and slap something, It is awesome.

I dont know good brands for one, so this thread should be useful, but Check out a lot of bootsy collins' work, and les claypool's work on anti-pop and oysterhead

It will give the same general effect, but it will sound more likea guitar in tone. That is, a lot of the bass will be cut out
