can you recomend a bass to me?
I currently have a musicman stingray copy and a fender squier, both of these have annoying issues
im looking to spend up to £500-600 and will use it mainly for playing funk/rock thanks |

save a little more and check out a MusicMan SUB or SUB Sterling.

i was thinking of getting a SUB, i have enough cash (their around £660-700 right) i just didnt wanna spend that much

Dude, you can get a SUB from [URL=http://www.soundslive.co.uk]here[/url] and [URL=http://www.gak.co.uk]here[/url] for £549. I dunno about finding a used StingRay for that price, though.

SUB - iv never played one, but on here iv heard they aren't that great for what they are..... if you want a stingray or sterling id go with a used one.... also have a look at:
-Warwick Rockbass -Second Hand Warwicks -Mid Range Ibanez (Look at the SR series) -Cort (Artisan, especially the A series) just as a starting guide... the 400-600 price range you have a huge choice, varying from some overpriced basses to some which should be priced at so much more |

ive played a sub before and it was pretty **** nice, i want to really explore the competition a bit though before i buy, im gonna take a look at those ones

The S.U.B and the Stingray are actually quite alike... The tone you can get from either is pretty much the same...
