trying to find a new toy.
I'm trying to find a new bass. Something with 6-strings and small string spacing because I mainly play fingerstyle and tapping. I was thinking about yamaha's John Myung signature, but is it worth it? Also I would like to know the string spacing of that. I haven't found it yet. Price range is about 1000 € or less. if someone could suggest something to me It would be nice.

There's normally loads of JM1's going around second hand because they can be quite a heavy beast to play. The new JM2 is lighter, but also more expensive. You could also consider the TRB, as well as the Ibanez SR.

I like the look of those Ibanez SRs - a properly stylish bass is hard to find, but that's a good 'un ![]() |

Does brice have a webpage? I didn't find it.
Curbow 6 Looks nice and the price ain't bad either. I think I'll stick in the BTB406QM or the SR3006E but I need to look more. I still have month or two time until I get the money to buy a new one. So I'll look some more. |

i kno a local player who's proper into funk and he has a musicman sub. its sounds awesome for wat he does and must hav an ideal feel too the kinda **** he does, so im guessing It cant be that bad. Also, for rock its pretty kewl i kno that, and I know sum1 else whos uses a music man for jazz, and it seems to fit too..... in the end, try one out, if it suits you go for it dude
