Is Fender Starcaster a fake?

hey igot a fender starcaster for christmas and i heard that they sell them at costco........wtf is a fender doing at costco.......is it a real fender??? It still sounds pretty good tho, looks kinda like a strat (says made in indo)

hey man, check out the serial #..last i checked fender website, you can check guitars by #..try that my man.

ask whoever gave it to you where they got it from. then go ask those people about it.
its worth a try. but xpunk1208x's idea is good first.

yes, there're starcasters...just 'cos it doesn't fall under the broad categories of strat/tele(/jag/mustang) noone believes it?

yeah..the fender starcaster is a real guitar...i cant imagine why costco would be selling them though...

yeah I have heard of them. Came out a little after the Strat as a more affordable model before the Mexican Strat stuff.

I don't think they're the same starcasters. If they are, I'm on my way to costco.

Only person I've even seen with that guitar is Jonny Greenwood of Radiohead.

Yeah I saw them at costco a while ago. Can't tell you if they are any good. Sometimes costco has really high end stuff, then they have real low end crap. I know they have yamaha stuff and its horrible. WalMart is starting to sell guitars too. If you want my opinion they can't be that great.

I've seen guitars at best buy. One is a cheesy acoustic, the other is a strat copy.
