I'm not looking foward to it at all. Now that Dirk's gone, I don't like them too much.

Dirk (actually Alex) was a great bass player and all but he was really starting to slack off, his stuff was getting simpler and simpler, I want to see how this new guy will fill the spot, he's the guitar player for a hip-hop band called "The Roots"

What the hell are you talking about? Listen to are you in. It's one of his best lines, and it was on their latest album. Simplicity isn't a bad thing anyway, some great riffs (take glass for example) are really simple, but still good. Besides, he wrote alot of their guitar lines too. (or so I've heard)

ya, "are you in" has a great bass line, but go listen to the stuff from the "fungus amung us" album. he played a lot more then.

Does anyone know why he really left Incubus?

He didn't play more, he just slapped all the time. And that doesn't make that a better cd (imo, science is best). You need just as much smash as you do flash. fungus amung us was all flash, it really didn't support the band too well, it was fun though. I'm not sure that he left. He could have been kicked out.

Dirk was my favourite member i'll admit it and i'm sad he's gone but word is that this album might be a little bit more like S.C.I.E.N.C.E and IMO if they can pull off songs like A certain shade of Green then I really will want this album.

I don't think this album will be like any we have heard before. Incubus said in an interview that if they make an album that sounds the same twice they feel like they have failed, even if everybody likes it.
