Tim Hecker

Tim Hecker is an electronic musician and sound artist based in Montreal, Canada. Tim previously recorded under the moniker Jetone, but has become better-known internationally for his ambient recordings released through Mille Plateaux, Alien8, Force Inc, Staalplaat, and Fat Cat under his own name. His works have been described as “structured ambient”, “tectonic color plates” and “cathedral electronic music”, however for the most part, have focused on exploring the intersections of noise, dissonance and melody, fostering an approach to song craft which is both physical and emotive.
